Minister Fentiman meets people behind Clarks
Queensland’s Minister for Employment and Small Business and Minister for Training and Skills Development, Shannon Fentiman MP, visited Clarks this week and met the people behind Logan’s leading urban bus operator.
The local member for Waterford met some of the 186-strong workforce at Clarks Logan City Bus Service which General Manager Martin Hall says proudly reflects the cultural diversity among City of Logan residents.
“As one of Logan’s largest employers, with an important role keeping the community connected and moving, we continue to develop our people and enrich our community at every possible opportunity,” Mr Hall said.
"From network planning to operating buses to maintenance to customer service, we operate in an exciting industry and we are committed to attracting, retaining and developing a workforce with the best talent and diversity.”
“So many people rely on our services every day - and public transport will only play a greater role in meeting the needs of the community as Logan evolves as one of Queensland’s most attractive cities to live and do business in.”
Mr Hall says Clarks ongoing response to COVID-19 highlights the skills and experience behind the team.
“I am immensely proud of how our team has adapted to change and continued to deliver bus services for those in the community who rely on them,” he said.
“Clarks has provided bus services in the region for more than 40 years and the pride and passion our bus drivers have for what they do is stronger now than ever before.”
